I am so sorry for your loss. May the 'God of all comfort' be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it states that very soon 'death will be brought to nothing'. Then, we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on Earth (John 5:28,29). I truly hope this brings you comfort and peace. With deepest sympathies, Gwen and family.

To our second family, We send our deepest condolences to you all. Tommy, Danny, Joe and Kathy, Thank you for sharing your daddy with us for 20+ years. We are honored to have been a part of his life. We are gonna miss him so much. I'm gonna miss all the funny emails and the funny holiday jib jabs they he sent me every holiday. I won't be able to send my Christmas card to Danny this year and that saddens my heart. Daniel Whitmore YOU ARE One of a kind. You were an amazing friend and role model to my son's and I'm forever grateful for you. Thank you for all the fishing trips, giving the kids golf cart rides and always being there when we needed you. It's just not gonna be the same without you here on earth. I want to say a special thank you for always looking out for my son's. You were like a father to them and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Not only were you a friend but you became our family. Your family became our family. The campground was never the same when you left. Sunday's we would stay longer to watch the NASCAR race or watch the Skins Play. Loved watching you and Eddie put fireworks off every time the Skins scored. So many great memories. May you rest in peace and may God surround your family and give them strength to get through this difficult time. We will forever be grateful and love you always Daniel Myers Whitmore❤ Love Always Shasty, Colby and Caleb

My deepest sympathy to the Whitmore's family and friends.
Life brings us sorrows and happiness, sorrows may fade...
happiness may not stay... but the good memories we shared will live with us forever. Danny you were a Lake Friend who was so special and who was loved so very much. Danny you brought so much happiness to the many hearts you
touched. You were always kind, caring and so understanding
too. And, if help was ever needed, It so freely came from you, Danny.
You were a gift to all us, And Danny you brought joy to everyone,
Danny, You will always be Forever in our 💛 hearts💜

Special thoughts and prayers to Uncle Danny's family and friends. The memorials of him, at the visitations, were awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I didn't get to see him often but always knew he was there if I sent him a card or gave him a call. He was a wonderful uncle who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. He always shared whatever he had with others--his home, lake house, and most precious of all--his time. He was a loving and caring father to his children and grandfather to his grandchildren. I remember all the good times we used to have at Timber Lake with all the family and how Danny and his brothers and my male cousins used to always pick on me. I didn't like it then but they are good memories now.
This is a devastating loss to Danny's loved ones, but we should have peace in knowing that he's not only with his Heavenly Father but also with all his relatives/loved ones who have preceded him in death. His "always up to something charm" will spice up Heaven quite a bit.

Uncle Danny will be missed by so many family and friends. He lived a good long life and lived to the fullest with his humor and fun. His love for his children and grandchildren was so evident and leaves his legacy with you. We have so many memories when the Whitmores got together for reunions and gatherings at the brothers and sisters homes . We loved staying in touch with Uncle Danny and will miss his fun and informative emails and his post about the Redskins. Praying for you as you say goodbye and the days ahead without your Dad but know that he is happy and healthy now and reunited with his family and we will see him again.

The Whitmores were a huge part of my life growing up. I have so many fond memories from beach trips to holidays. Big Danny, as we always called him, was always the funniest man. He loved his family and the Redskins fiercely. That type of devotion is rare. I will cherish my times with this family and hold my memories close to my heart. Love, Lisa

Forty-eight years ago I had the pleasure of meeting the Whitmore family and words cannot express how much they mean to me. "Big Danny" was not only a neighbor, he was a mentor and friend. He always took time to listen and willingly offered advice when I needed it. As a young teen you rarely appreciate the "old guys", but Danny always had the energy to go toe to toe with us. Racing on Friday nights, motorcycle riding, horseshoes, football games, all night fishing and pool parties (volleyball). Funny how a simple little nickname you gave me translated into a lifelong career. I am going to miss you my friend. May God Bless my lifelong friends, Sherrie, Little Danny, Kathy, and Tom.

So sorry to the Whitmore family for the loss of their father ! I remember Mr. Whitmore well as I spent alot of time at the Whitmore's as a teenager. I use to go to pool parties at the Whitmore's and Mr. Whitmore was always kind and sweet and treated me like one of his own daughters! I have been a lifelong fan of the Redskins also and well it was nice to have that in common. May you rest in Peace Daniel Whitmore!
