Gene E. Guthrie, 77 of Roanoke, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 22, 2017 at his home under hospice care given by his wife, Beulah Guthrie and family. He owned his own masonry business until 2009 when cancer and parkinsons took his livelihood. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Lotz Funeral Home.
The service will be at Lotz Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke VA, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.Lotzfuneralhome.com.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Wright and father, James Henry Guthrie; grandson, Joshua Lee Hodges; son, Gary Quesinberry and brother, Charles Guthrie.

Surviving are his wife, Beulah Guthrie; daughters, Carrie Eanes, TJ. Hodges (Lee), Drema Quesenberry, Shannon Hiatt (Joey Carver), Sandra Williams (Brian) and Tammy Shilling; Brother, Ralph Guthrie; sons, Christian Thurman and James Quesenberry, Michael Houser; grandchildren, Ashley Eanes and Amber Hodges; Numerous great grandchildren and family and friends.

Pallbearers: Chuck Griffin, Mark Yeatts, Frank Tuttle, Jr, Lee Hodges, Bradley Houser.
