R. Glenn Childress, 77, of Roanoke, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Berkshire Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
Glenn was born in Roanoke and grew up in Salem. He was the son of the late Clyde W. Childress, and Jean and Eddie Mann.
Glenn was a meat cutter most of his career and enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping.
Glenn is survived by his son Glenn Childress, Jr. of Vinton; sisters Diane Hayden and Jenny Bolt; and dear friend Dee Wisely.
Glenn’s family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 28 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
