Mr. Walter Lynn Meeks

Walter Lynn Meeks, 69, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.
He was born April 11, 1949 in Bedford, a son of the late Walter and Elsie Schilling Meeks. He loved history and was an active member of Sons of Confederate Veterans with his special friends Mark and Sindy Craig and Walter Garrison. He started each day by reading from his bible, and a prayer of thanks for another day.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Meeks and his brother, Bobby Meeks.
Surviving are his wife, Sallie Meeks; daughters, Kimberly Raya and Sally Phillips and husband, Will; grandchildren, William, Michael, Andrew, and Adam; and great-granddaughter, Kaelyn.

A celebration of Walter’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor Jack Chisom officiating. The family will receive friends from 1- 2 p.m. prior to the service.
