Mr. Samuel Tyler Cooley

Samuel Tyler Cooley, 29, of Roanoke, VA found peace March 1, 2022.

Sam loved strength and combat sports and was an aspiring strength athlete. He was a talented powerlifter who earned several medals and awards, including a top 3 National ranking in the bench press. His love of nature and extensive knowledge of the natural world led him on many adventures. Sam loved the outdoors and respected all creatures, big and small. He had a knack for fishing and especially loved all things creepy and crawly!

Sam’s smile and laughter will forever live on in our hearts.

Surviving are his parents, David and Sybil Cooley; brother, Craig Feathers and wife Carey Cole; niece, Lindsay Cole; nephew, Tristan Cole; sister, Kristen Cooley; dearest loving nephew, Lucas Hopson.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

The family would also like to thank the wonderful medical staff of 7 South CCU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
