Ms Ruth Gail Lynch

Ruth Gail Lynch, 81, of Roanoke, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; George and Julia Reed, daughter; Tina Altis, brothers; Ed, Randolph, Buck, Donnie, D.Y., sisters; Verna Mae, LaVonn, Helen, and Hazel.

Surviving are her sons; “Big” John Simmons and Roger Simmons, daughter; Nicole Simmons, grandchildren; Missy, Chris, Heather, Brandon and Brian, great-grandchildren; Mackenzie, Laeklynn, Kingston, Bryson, Kesi, Kyra, brother; Wayne Reed, sisters; Carolyn Cartwright, Nikki Cronk and numerous nieces and nephews left to cherish her memory.

Ruth was a warrior in her family’s eyes being a single mother to four children, she loved cooking and made a mean batch of fudge. She also loved to eat and had to have a candy bar every night. Ruth wasn’t only a warrior to her family but also a warrior in Christ, she loved the Lord and her church family.

They family would like to give special Thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care Nurse Jennifer for taking such great care of their loved one.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Clearbrook Baptist Church 5219 Singing Hills Road Roanoke, VA 24014 with Pastor Bryan Ratliff officiating.
