Ms. Priscilla Elaine Shearin

Priscilla "Elaine" Shearin, 82, of Roanoke, sadly passed away Monday, May 8, 2023. Elaine was formerly from Roanoke Rapids North Carolina, she moved to Roanoke Virginia in 1971 where she resided in the historical old Sw. 
Elaine was a very independent person as the old saying goes "she was as independent as a hog on ice". She was also a compassionate woman, no matter who she came in contact with she would greet them with a smile and a compliment. She was a loving soul and anyone she came in contact with would light up around her. 

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Drew and Sallie Ann Shearin; sister, Betty Lee. 

She is survived by her nieces, Brenda Lee, Terry Hux, and Donna Jones; nephew, Phillip Lee Jr; special friends, Debbie McKellar and Katelin McKellar; special fur baby, Miss Kitty Lynn; numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and other family members left to cherish her memory. 

A graveside service celebrating Elaine’s life will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Mountain View Cemetery 1401 Mountain View Road, Vinton, VA 24179 with Reverend Wayne Meadows officiating.
