Ms. Juanita Geraldine "Jerry" Pollard

Juanita Geraldine “Jerry” Pollard, 75, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019. She was a daughter of the late James W. Paitsel and Rachel “Marcie” Mozingo Paitsel.

She is survived by her children, Donnie Simmons and wife, Penny, Debi Firebaugh and husband, Steve, Lisa Burnett and husband, Jeff and William “Buster” Simmons; sister, Marcie Ann LaPrade; brothers, James Paitsel and wife, Wilma, David Paitsel and wife, Anne; grandchildren, Jessica White and husband, Jeremy, Brittney Simmons, Lindsey Simmons and fiancé, Dustin Caldwell, April Collins and husband, Brad, Ben Firebaugh and wife, Heather, Haley Firebaugh, Riley Firebaugh, Lauren Burnett, Betsy Burnett and fiancé , Hunter Bailey, Abby Burnett and Jansen Burnett, Billy Simmons and wife, Ashley, Amanda Simmons, Sam Simmons, Maggie Simmons; 12 GREAT-grandchildren, including her hero, Jayden; uncles, Rev. Neville Mozingo and Ray Mozingo and wife, Margaret; special cousin, Trulafaye “Tru” Tolliver Baer.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be conducted at 11AM, Thursday, November 7, 2019 at First Wesleyan Church, 3706 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, with Reverend Herb Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke.
