James Anthony Underwood, 44, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He is a son of the late Kenneth Ray Underwood and Shirley Jane Lawson Underwood. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Terry and Christopher Underwood.

Surviving are his wife, Melissa Stanford Underwood; daughter, Stephanie Underwood; brothers, Mitchell Underwood (Krissy Chumbley), Donnie Underwood and Justin Underwood; nieces and nephews, Kirsten, Kanova, Kalaja James, Justin Jr., Shane Michael, Joshua Lynn, Donald Lee, Constance Renee, Aaron Hunter and Joseph Lynn Underwood; numerous cousins and other family and friends.

Services will be private.
