Mr. James Claude Pauley

James Claude “JC” Pauley Sr., 83, of Roanoke formerly of Princeton, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was a son of the late Claudie Gleaves Pauley and Ella Virginia Cox Pauley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Pauley; a brother, Clifford Pauley. JC served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

Surviving are his son, James “Jimmy” Pauley, Jr. (Pam); daughter, Teresa Slate (Richard); sisters, Janice Stevenson (Ronnie), Cathy White (John “Hoppy”), Barbara Sparks (Raymond); brothers, Ronnie Pauley (Sharon) and Eddie Pauley (Rita); grandchildren, Josh, Colby, Jessica and Jason; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made in memory of JC at American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Grandview Memory Garden in the Mausoleum, 38659 Gov. GC Perry Hwy, Bluefield, Virginia 24605. A celebration of JC’s life will be 2 pm following the visitation.
