Mr Gary Edward Keith Jr.

Gary Edward “Eddie” Keith, Jr., 47 of Moneta, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home. Eddie served in the United States Army for 8 years and was discharged due to health reasons. Eddie fought the demon of alcoholism for most of his adult life but, he had a good heart, he had a love for stray animals, sports and his family. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Gary E. Keith and Judy Grubbs Caldwell.

He is survived by his son, Austin C. Keith of Florida; 4 sisters, Dawn, Kim, Stacy and Melissa; two brothers, Travis Keith and wife, Rebekah and Andy Keith; many nieces and nephews who he loved very much and was proud of them; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Eddie’s life will be conducted at 12 noon, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Reverend Travis Keith and Reverend Donnie Glass officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. The service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend.
