Frederick Marshall Arrington, Sr. 75, of Danville passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. He was born in Franklin County to the late Doctor Thomas Arrington and Victoria Nannie Grace Perdue Arrington on August 7, 1945. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Arrington; daughters, Paulette Arrington, Kristy Perkins and Teresa Peregory; son, Bobby Blackwell, Jr.; 5 sisters and 5 brothers. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Airforce. Fred was dedicated to his faith, family and friends.
Surviving him are his significant other, Shelby Harris; seven children, Frederick Arrington, Jr., Susan Jackson (Phillip), Angela Owen (Johnny), Joseph Arrington (Carolin), Phillip Arrington, April Tate (Jon); Timothy Smith (Jennifer); two sisters, Marie Dalton and Edna Fitzgerald; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to Lotz Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

A memorial service celebrating Frederick’s life will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church, 486 Stephens Street, Danville, Va. 24541with Pastor Joshua Cook officiating. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends at the residence on Thursday, January 21 and Friday, January 22 from 5 to 7 pm.
