Mr. Edward J. Meadows

Edward J. Meadows, 77, of Salem passed away peacefully Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was a son of the late Sidney E. Meadors and Virginia Arthur McFalls. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Arlene “Ethel” Gay Meadows; brothers, Charles Hazelwood Meadows (Drewry), Lester Lee Meadors, Sidney Edward Meadors, Jr. and Calvin Edgar McFalls; sisters, Mary Frances Maddox (Johnny), Georgia Christine Meador Horne and Senora Leigh Meadors.
Edward was a family man who dearly loved his chilp, grandchildren and great-grandson; he was quite the "joker", and loved going on vacations.

Surviving are his wife, Angie “Precious” Meadows of Salem; son and daughter-in-law Eddie “Spike” and Monica Meadows of Eagle Rock; daughter Angela LaChelle “Byrd” Meadows Bryant (Denny Hardy) of Salem; sister, Rose Marie Meadors Adams and husband, Charles; grandchildren Brittany Alexis “Babygirl” Robertson, Anastasia Alexis Antoinette “Lil’Pete” Meadows, Corey Seth “Chubs” Bryant, and Dustin Jayce “Bruiser” Webb; great-grandson, Jayceon “Jaycee” Zamir Bryant; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Robert Lynch, Joyce Ann Gay, and Maynard Horne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3, 2381 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A celebration of Edward’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 24 with Reverend Kirk Ballin officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
