Mrs. Dora Ruth Sink Stump

Dora Ruth Sink Stump, 90, of Boones Mill died Thursday, November 26, 2020. She was a daughter of the late George Ellis Sink and Sally Boitnott Sink. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Daniel E. Stump, Sr.; son, Daniel E. “Danny” Stump, Jr.; daughter, Patricia S. Ashe; brother, James Roy Sink: sisters, Myrtle Sink Gibson, Mary Katherine Sink Cooper, Virginia Sink Cooper; son-in-laws, George E. Ashe, Sr. and Edward L. Davis.

Surviving are her children, Linda S. Davis-Pauley and husband, Jim, Catherine S. Holland and husband, Dale, Kevin D. Stump and wife, Karen; sisters-in-law, Lois Slocum, Nadine Epperly and Nadine Stump; daughter-in-law, Teresa Stump; grandchildren, Timmy Robtison, Tony Robtison, Tammy Chitwood, Penny Spangle, Melissa D. Robertson, Pastor David E. Davis, Alicia A. Holland, Lisa C. Kelly, G.E. Ashe, Jr. and Kenny Ashe; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Simon Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24016. A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Park, 21440 Virgil H Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 with Pastor Paul Sink officiating.
