Mrs. Donna Fay Cassell Kerns

Donna Fay Cassell Kerns, 72, of Roanoke passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Aaron Clyde Cassell and Edith Bridget Campbell Cassell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dennis Arden Kerns; brothers, Charles Glen Cassell and Warren Cassell.

Surviving are her children, Melissa Firebaugh (Hugh) and Troy Kerns (Amber); grandchildren, Naomi, Nathan, Noah and Zach; great-granddaughter, Arabella; niece, Lisa Wright; sister-in-law, Irene Cassell and many other family and friends.

Donna will be well remembered for her love of flowers, crafts and her gift of floral design. She will especially be remembered for her extraordinary generosity, her incredible kindness and her unending love for her family and friends. Donna was a woman of great strength, and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association or The Wounded Warrior Project.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held 12 noon, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor Roger Graves officiating.
