Donald “Wayne” Harrison, 73, of Roanoke died Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Ballard Harrison and Lois Rebecca Perdue Harrison.
Surviving him are his wife of 41 years, Pat Harrison; children, Faye Martin (David), Denise Overton and partner, Jeff Prillaman, David Wayne Harrison (Michelle) and James “Jimmy” Melvin Harrison; brother-in-law, Jack McCray (Linda); 7 grandchildren, Alicia Botts (Danny), Jessica Brunk (John), Justin Henson, Chris Martin (Shannon), Kayla Harrison, James Melvin Harrison, Jr., and Luke David Harrison; 9 great-grandchildren; several other family members.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Roanoke ASPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave. NE, Roanoke, Va. 24012.
A memorial service celebrating Wayne’s life will be held 1 pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Va. 24016. Burial will be private.
