Mr. Dennis David Maxey

Dennis David Maxey, 52, of Vinton passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 due to an illness. He is a son of the late Larry Dennis Maxey.

Dennis was an avid outdoorsman he loved to fish, water ski, and to hunt. He worked on cars and he enjoyed riding dirt bikes. Dennis had a great sense of humor and could make a joke out of almost anything. Above all Dennis had a Big Heart. The family will always have very fond memories of him.

Surviving him are his mother, Betty Joyce Perkins Holland and step-father, Paul W. Holland; deceased step-brother, Brandon Walker Holland; sister, Dee Settles; nieces McKenzy Settles and Kamdyn Settles; step-brothers and step-sisters, Donnie Thompson, Michael Moore (Tammy), Jackie Moore (David) and Jamie Arthur (Terry); his fur babies he loved as his children, Ditto and Congo; and numerous other family members.

The family would like to thank Dave Cohran for helping to take care of Dennis.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at a later date.
