David A. Walters, age 65, of Bent Mountain, Virginia, passed away Saturday October 29, 2022. As a child, David lived in several states across the country and in Okinawa, Japan while his father was in the Air Force. He was a 1976 graduate of Cave Spring High School. David entered the Air Force directly after High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Wendy, in 1977. He was honorably discharged from the service and moved back to Bent Mountain where he resided the rest of his life.
David helped his father with his apple orchard and also was an electrician. He was a Little League coach when his son played. David loved to hunt, fish, golf, garden, help in the orchard, and work on his motorcycle and other vehicles. He was an avid reader.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Walters, his father EC Walters, and his mother and father in law Lavonne Morse and Robert Morse.
David is survived by his daughter Cassie Nabti, his son Curtis Walters, his mother Patty Walters, his sisters Judy Emery and Trish Pfountz, and his brother Dan Walters. He is also survived by five grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
David will be missed dearly by his family and friends, and especially by his mother Patty whom he resided with and took care of for the past few years.
