Mr. Daniel Thomas "DT" Short

Daniel Thomas “DT” Short, 98, of Roanoke died Monday, November 18, 2019. He was a son of the late, Victor Short and Willie Sutherland Short. He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. "DT" was a longtime member of Rockingham Court United Methodist Church and served as a Trustee. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Dove Short; a son, Danny T. Short; a great-grandson, Zachary Short.

Surviving him are his son, Randy Short and wife, Gina; sister, Jessie McCollum; grandchildren, Angie Short, Amy Short, Troy Short and wife, Vera; great-grandchildren, Nathanael Short, Alexis Short and Leila Short; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A graveside will be conducted 11am, Friday, November 22, 2019 at Franklin Memorial Park with Reverend Nathan Colwell officiating.
