Mrs. Constance Janette Dooley Simonsen

Constance Janette Dooley Simonsen, 81, of Roanoke died Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was a daughter of the late Alonza Lowell Dooley and Lucille Christley Dooley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Emil Simonsen; a son, Virgial Toney and her sister, JoAnn Greene.

Surviving her are two sons and one daughter, Rudolph “Rudy” Alton Dearing and significant other, Kristi Wixted, Michael and Ina Dearing and Deborah Dearing; a brother, Robert “Bobby” Dooley; daughter-in-law, Ruth Toney; 7 grandchildren, Rudolph Dearing, III, Gunner Leslie (Vanessa), Simon Dearing, Danielle Dearing (Bradley), Ashley Dearing Garcia (Rayman), Brian Dearing and Vincent Dearing; 3 great-grandchildren, Barrett Asimakopoulos, Aleni Garcia and Kennadie Dearing; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends 1 to 2 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Lotz Funeral Home, 10010 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A graveside service will be held following visitation at 2:30 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2021 with Pastor Brian M. Geiser officiating at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
