Ms. Catherine Boland Tice

Catherine Boland Tice, 56, of Moneta passed away December 31, 2018. She is preceded in death by her father, Francis Boland, husband, Jeffrey Lewis Tice and brother, Thomas Boland.
Surviving her are her two sons, Jeffrey and Christopher Tice; mother, May Boland; brothers, Francis Boland (Loren), Johnny Boland (Re) and Patrick Boland (Gladys); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Catherine “Cassie”, was a life loving individual who was loved by everyone that knew her. She was always upbeat and positive and wanted to see others smile. Cassie loved her two sons with everything in her heart and raised them on her own for over 18 years after the passing of her husband, Jeffrey L. Tice. She devoted her life to the children of the community as well, whether it be in boy scouts, volunteering at schools, or driving her school bus for over 19 years. Ms. Cassie loved her “bus babies” as if they were her own. She held a special spot in her heart for her animals, Goober(dog), Bob-e, and TT(cats). Those who knew Cassie will never forget her smile or her laugh. They were so big and contagious, people couldn’t help but smile and laugh along when she did. She had the biggest heart and was one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring, compassionate, strong willed, funny, charismatic, and loving women you could ever meet. She will be missed always and loved forever.
We are asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Planned Pethood Clinic of Franklin County. Donations can either be monetary, or, bags and cans of dog and cat food or any pet supplies. Donations can be mailed(if monetary) or dropped off at Planned Pethood Clinic 18401 Virgil H Goode Hwy, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday January 27th in the Dudley Elementary School gymnasium from 4-8pm. We ask that you wear brightly colored clothing or your favorite school pride shirt as this is not a wake, it is a celebration.
