Barry Lynn Turner, 63, of Roanoke, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Barry is preceded in death by his mother; Betty Ann Turner
Surviving are his father; Robert Ellis Turner, brother; Robert Evans Turner, sister; Linda M. Turner, half-brother; Gary Scott and wife Lisa, niece; Olivia, nephew; Zack, and numerous cousins.
Barry will be remembered as a loving brother and son, who had a love for animals especially his cats Peanut and Spot; he enjoyed going to the beach with his family. Barry was a big Ford man and had a passion for toy car collectibles; he loved selling at his antique mall booth at Dixie Caverns. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic and certified state inspector at various auto service centers and car dealerships in the Roanoke valley and Salem area most recently with Wimmer Tire & Service Center.
A celebration of Barry’s life will be held at 3:30pm, Monday, March 22, 2021, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (outside in the Miller Garden), 1008 Franklin Road, Roanoke with Pastor James Armentrout officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angels of Assisi 415 Campbell Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
