Mrs. Barbara Lee Hartman Marsh

Barbara Lee Hartman Marsh, 75, of Franklin County passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born May 2, 1942 a daughter of the late Herman M. Hartman and Gladys Jordan Hartman. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Fred; sisters, Judy and Louise; and son-in-law, Teddy Lynch.

Barbara waited one day after her 59th wedding anniversary to go to heaven. Jr. spent their anniversary holding her hand, rubbing her feet he said “he didn’t need to say anything, she knew he was there.” He loved her. Jr. has carried a picture of her in his wallet for over 60 years, she was his one true love.

Surviving her are her loving husband, Allie “Jr.” Marsh; children, Cathy Lynch, Barbara and Jack Bowen, Annie and Kenny Moody; Teresa Marsh and fiancé, Bob Bradbury and Allie “Morrie” Marsh III; brothers and sisters, Herman and Lois Hartman, Nancy and Roger Flowers, Charlie and Laura Hartman, Betty Jean Montgomery, Earl Hartman, Brenda and Larry St. Clair; in-laws, Jimmy Marsh and Betty Randall; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm, at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be conducted 2pm, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke with Dr. Lawrence Randall officiating. Burial will follow at Bandy Family Cemetery.
