Ms. April Coleen Childress

April Coleen Childress, 54, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.
April was born March 16, 1964, a daughter of the late Larry and Betty Fitzgerald in Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ginger Thorne and Betty Fitzgerald; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Stacy and husband, Wesley, and Tabitha Waldrond; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Bryson and Larry Fitzgerald; sisters, Kathy Jones, and Margaret Howard and husband, James, and Barbara Moore; and David Waldrond, the love of her life.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Rd., Roanoke. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
