Louise E. Henry, 80, of Roanoke went home to join and rejoice with the Lord and her preceding family members Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone. She was a loving lady that always put everyone first. She dedicated 27 years of her life as a nurse helping people. She retired from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are her children, Douglas Herndon (Lisa), Sherry Gentry, John Herndon (Melissa), Paul Herndon (Dreama), Donna Tourville (Gary), Martha Thomas (Rick) and Rina Jarrell (Tim); 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Wright and Maggie Hall; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Lotz Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
