Dorothy C. Beckner, 83, of Roanoke died Tuesday, March 14, 2017. She was born January 29, 1934 a daughter of the late Elmo and Vivian Karnes. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, “Buddy” Beckner.

Surviving her are her daughter, Bonita Gregory; son, Gregory Cox; sister, Lorraine Draper; brother, Danny Karnes (Nancy); grandchildren, Jeremy and Shawn Hilton; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Elijah and Addison Hilton; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be conducted 1 PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 with Pastor Rodney Spears officiating at Lotz Funeral Home-Roanoke. Burial will follow at Sherwood Burial Park.
