Bonnie Jane Arthur, 67, of Roanoke died Thursday, September 28,2017. She was born May 12, 1950 a daughter of the late Calvin L. Ellis, Sr. and Hattie S. Ellis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Brenda Guilliams, Calvin L. Ellis, Jr., Patricia Hagy and Randy Ellis. Bonnie loved spending time with children and family.

Surviving her are her sons, Samuel Wesley Arthur (Tina), Barry Lynn Arthur; brother Danny Wayne Ellis; grandson, Jacob Arthur; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association, 3140 Chaparral Dr #106, Roanoke, VA 24018 or The American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road #106, Roanoke, VA 24018.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10 to 11:30 AM at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 AM following the visitation with Pastor Butch Hammed officiating.
